Rules for the Cat Bed

It is very important that if you have a nice comfortable spot for
kitty to sleep, there must be some rules to make sure she is comfortable!
- The bed should be placed in a position that your cat likes.
- When your cat is on her bed, she she not be disturbed. Her bed
should be her safe haven, away from the troubles and cares of
the world - her time there should be a special time full of daydreams
and stretching.
- Don't make loud noises around while she is sleeping. Keep things
nice and calm.
- Don't let children near the cat bed, this makes a lot
of cats nervous.
- Don't put food on or near the cat bed - you should have clearly
defined areas for eating, sleeping and playing for your cat. Food
can get stuck on the bed and attract vermin, as well as making
the bed dirty and smelly.
- Don't use sprays on the cat bed. Don't be tempted to spray perfume,
air freshener and the like. These can cause irritation and can
even lead to skin disorders.
- Don't let everybody handle or touch the bed - your treasure
has smells she loves (like hers and yours!) and strange scents
will put her off her special place. Far better when guests come
that they stay away from the cat bed (especially obeying rule
number one!)
- When guests do come to visit make sure they are aware that you
have these rules, explain why you have these rules and that they
respect them.
If you follow these rules your cat will always be comfortable and
feel safe on their cat bed. Flout these rules and have an
unhappy cat! Have a great day.
